PETALING JAYA, 9 November – The joy of Deepavali arrived early for over 60 senior citizens of Pusat Jagaan Orang-Orang Tua, Kurang Upaya dan Terbiar Lovely Nursing Centre with a charity luncheon organised by Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) on Saturday, 3 November 2018.Lovely Nursing Centre was established in 1999 to provide shelter and care for the elderly.
The half-day event participated by CGC staff was filled with activities such as cleaning the centre and serving food to the elderly, apart from giving monetary contribution to the Centre and ‘Duit Raya’ for its elderly residents. There was a Clothing Drive at CGC Headquarters prior to the event to collect basic wears for the residents of the Centre.
“In the spirit of Deepavali, this is a good avenue to encourage the spirit of togetherness among Malaysians, while giving back to the society,” said CGC President/CEO Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak.
