CYBERJAYA, March 8 – Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) has been awarded ‘TalentCorp Career Comeback ReIGNITE Award’, a recognition based on the employers’ commitment in celebrating diversity and inclusion by practising a forward looking recruitment policy towards women on career break.

In 2017, CGC has participated in Talent Corp’s Career Comeback Programme Grant that encourages employers to implement programmes that recruit and retain women who have been on career breaks for more than six (6) months.

CGC has had recruited six (6) women returnees into its workforce last year that paved the way for the recognition.

Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim presented the award to CGC, represented by its Senior Vice President for Strategic Planning Mohd Reza Mohd Hatta at Cyberjaya, today.

“This award is a recognition of CGC’s conscious effort in creating more employment opportunities and better representation of women at all levels of its workforce. CGC’s culture of inclusiveness and gender diversity is clearly evident in the number of women we currently have in our workforce,” said Mohd Reza. CGC employs 333 women that represents 62% of its total workforce. Currently, CGC has a total of 537 employees and operates through a network of 16 branches nationwide. Malaysia.

The ‘TalentCorp Career Comeback ReIGNITE Award’ is the first of its kind introduced by Talent Corp Malaysia Berhad, following the government’s declaration of year 2018 as the Women Empowerment Year.

There are two types of grant namely Resourcing Grant and Retention Grant. CGC opted for Retention Grant which will be disbursed for employers who have successfully recruited and retained women returnees for more than six (6) months. The grant amount is equivalent to the women returnee’s first month basic salary.

In 2016, CGC won the HR Asia Award 2016-Best Companies to Work for in Asia (service category) by MERCER, one of the world’s largest human resource consulting firm and coordinated by HR Asia Magazine.
