CR NASOM
CGC held a Corporate Responsibility (CR) programme with The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) Teluk Pulai Branch on Tuesday 8 October 2019. Established in 1987, NASOM was founded by a group of concerned parents and professionals with an objective to bring light on autism. Their mandate is to identify and promote treatment, education and welfare of children with autism as well as create awareness and acceptance of people with autism, aid and advice families with autistic members and serve as a sanctuary to protect those afflicted with autism. NASOM offers 8 types of services and programmes: 1. Vocational 2. Residential 3. Early Intervention 4. Mainstreaming 5. Pre-Vocational 6. Therapy 7. Transition 8. Assessment & Diagnosis Autism refers to a broad range of conditions characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviours, speech and nonverbal communication.
