PENANG, July 12 – Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) extends its “Go Digital Talk” series for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) nationwide, following the resounding success within Klang Valley.

“Go Digital Talk” is a series of mentoring workshops under CGC Developmental Programme aimed at highlighting the importance of multiple digital marketing tools to promote SME products and services for better visibility.

“It is CGC’s utmost commitment to cultivate the SMEs to follow market trends and stay competitive. Digital marketing is an impactful tool to not only prepare you for any changes within your specific market but also help to establish a comprehensive marketing strategy – designed to increase visibility using digital channels and maximise revenue,” said Wong Keet Loong, Senior Vice President for Marketing and Sales of CGC.

The ‘Go Digital Talk” is the third such talk series for this year hosted over 150 SME participants from various business sectors. The previous two (2) talks were held in Johor and Perak, respectively.
The distinguished speakers were Lee Zhern Yuen, Business Lead of iFleet at Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, and Shah Suriye Ruben, the Co-Marketplace Chief Officer of Lazada Malaysia, which is an online shopping platform.

Lee and Ruben shared their success stories, insights and experiences on marketing strategies and trends using multiple digital channels in aligning the SMEs’ business with the digital marketing platform.

Introduced in May 2016, the mentoring programme is aimed to develop SMEs’ business capabilities and increase capacity, be it to enhance their business competitiveness or diversify marketing channels.

This year, CGC plans to reach out to about 1,200 SMEs nationwide via 12 workshops under mentoring programme whereby six will be on digital marketing and another six on gaining market access.

To-date, CGC has organized a total of 19 workshops, which have benefited over 2,000 SMEs.
